Start with the capability
List the inputs and actions your workflow needs: read messages, find files, update a document, inspect a repository. Match each to the tools in an installed plugin. A plugin bundles capabilities; a task brief tells the dot what outcome to produce with them.
Choose the working environment
Cloud work uses its own environment. Local skills require a connected computer. Before building a larger routine, check where the task will execute and whether the source files and tools are available there.
Package a repeated method
A useful skill describes when to use it, required inputs, the sequence of work and the expected output. Keep examples next to the instructions. Separate project-specific values from the reusable method so a future task can supply its own sources.
Verify one complete path
Use one representative task from source lookup to final artifact. Check that the output contains the required fields and points back to the correct source. Adjust the method based on that result before applying it to a larger batch.
